President of Technology
About the Role
Lit8 has built a patented AI model that turns any device into a supercomputer with unlimited graphics quality and complexity — a neural rendering alternative to traditional ray-tracing and rasterization. We're now at the inflection point where this technology moves from lab into production, and we need someone who has done this before at the highest level.
We're looking for a President of Technology to lead our hardware-software integration strategy and serve as the technical face of Lit8 to the GPU/console ecosystem. This is a role for someone who has spent a career at the intersection of silicon, ML, and real-time graphics — and who can open doors at the studios and platform holders that matter.
Think: the person who architected DLSS deployment at Nvidia, or who shipped XeSS integration across game engines at Intel. Someone who instinctively knows why a model that benchmarks well still stutters, and who has the rolodex to get a meeting with the CTO of a AAA studio.
This role anchors our new US office and reports directly to the CEO.
What You'll Do
- Own Lit8's technology strategy for deploying neural rendering AI into real-time production pipelines
- Architect GPU/NPU workload partitioning, memory bandwidth budgeting, and inference optimization for consumer hardware
- Lead game engine integration (UE5/Unity SDK) and partner-facing technical architecture with major studios
- Drive hardware-software co-design with GPU/NPU vendors — quantization trade-offs, driver-level integration, platform-specific optimization
- Serve as Lit8's public technical voice at industry conferences, developer events, and partner meetings
- Build and lead the US technical team as the office scales
- Advise on strategic partnerships and investor conversations requiring deep technical credibility
What We're Looking For
Must-Haves (non-negotiable)
- 10+ years in GPU/silicon-adjacent engineering at a hardware vendor (Nvidia, AMD, Intel, Qualcomm, Apple, Arm) or console platform group (Sony, Microsoft ATG) — someone who has lived hardware constraints, not just used APIs
- ML-based real-time rendering feature shipped at production scale: super-resolution, frame generation, neural denoising, or neural rendering (DLSS / FSR / XeSS / MetalFX class)
- Hardware-software co-design fluency: NPU/GPU workload partitioning, memory bandwidth budgeting, quantization and precision trade-offs (FP16/INT8), driver- or firmware-level integration
- Real-time performance discipline: frame pacing, latency budgets, deterministic output — can reason about why a model that benchmarks well still stutters
Strongly Preferred
- NPU inference deployment experience (OpenVINO, DirectML, Qualcomm Hexagon, Apple ANE) — for our architecture this matters more than dGPU pedigree
- Game engine integration experience (UE5/Unity plugin or SDK shipped to external studios)
- Public-facing technical credibility: conference talks, developer relations, or partner-facing architecture roles — the ability to evangelize technology to studio CTOs and hardware partners
- Existing relationships in the GPU vendor, game studio, and/or console platform ecosystem
Nice to Have
- Experience building or scaling a technical team from early stage
- Background in startup or growth-stage environments (not just large corp)
- Familiarity with the European tech ecosystem and cross-Atlantic team dynamics
- Prior advisory board or technical board experience
